This morning I dropped my fuel tank to put the original metal arm for the sensor float on. On another thread there was some discussion as to our real total fuel capacity. I drained most of what was left in the tank and it totally filled a 2.5 gallon can. So it was a tad over 2.5 gallons and I put it back into the tank when I was done. I then drove 3 miles to a station and filled it up into the neck with 20.038 gallons at $4.399 per gallon

So 20.038 plus 2.5 gives us a 22.538 gallon tank

After putting the original metal arm back in 2.5 gallons put the guage a hair over
E with the low fuel light on. With the Cummins/Dodge float arm it read a little less then 1/4

So those that want a fuel guage to be EXACT use the Cummins/Dodge arm. "E" will really mean EMPTY. Those that want a 2.5 gallon safety net use the CRD arm
