Installed a fiberglass bug screen on the grill today. Looks surprisingly good. And no I have not done a study about wind resistance or environmental impact. There were a pile of bugs on the radiators. Just pop off the front grill and pop the back off that. I fitted the 1'x3' wide fiberglass screen loosely over the back of the grill and replaced the back. No tools except for scissors to trim screen. With minimal fiddling and cutting it went back together in 15 about minutes total. |

I have a bugscreen/ winterfront combo. 1st thing I put on the tracotr when got it. easy to use. just snaps. wintefront really helps in winter keeping her warm and get better mpg. radiator and cac looks brand new. no nasty bug juice cheap $50 investment |

I put on the combo front within a week or two of getting my CRD. It really is a good investment. I learned this lesson early on when I lived in Alaska. Been doing it ever since with every vehicle I have owned. For those interested, you can get them thru the manufacturer at www.gofia.com |

fresh8fly, Did you install the same bugscreen/winter front combo as cowpie1? You said it cost $50 and the one Cowpie1 installed is around $70. If you installed one that is $20 cheaper and works just as well I am all about saving $20. |
