Now that the Suncoast T/C and shift kit are installed it is time for a little fun juice: Power Granted, the wife would be a little tweaked if the pistons blew out the side of the motor. So, ease off on the pedal fella. Since there has been a little factory "customer satisfaction" de-tune also known as the infamous "F37" we know there is a little something available. How would you go? |

SEGR will increase power by eliminating EGR, ensuring pure atmosphere intake to each cylinder - result: engine feels lots peppier - any power module that connects to Rail Pressure and MAP really helps - I have EDGE Trail, soon to be upgraded to reflash - Inmotion StageII reflash is best allaround, as it upgrades timing and injection event as well as dumping more fuel and maintaining increased Boost - same price as most power boxes, @350bucks - again, fuel economy is adversely affected by intense application of right foot to go pedal, a severe problem I like to term 'happy feet' - I recommend the reflash over any power module - pull your ECM, ship it out, you get it back within the week, except much heavier................ |

Are you saying you are doing the InMotion flash AND the Edge Trail?

http://www.tsperformance.com/Power_Play_faq.html There's some poop in their hype, as there always is, but as it's physically unattainable, it seems no worse than others - sorta dangerous putting Boost control in the hands of the driver, particularly so if the vehicle doesn't have an EGT guage and a Boost guage installed, or if the driver doesn't understand the relationship between Diesel btu output and increased fuel input |

Why is boost so important? Don't the exhaust gas temperatures tell all? Leaning toward the Inmotion reflash, maybe looking for another ECU, keep it simple... |

Air and fuel = heat - Boost is lots of air - Boost and lots of fuel = tremendous heat in the same small area - if you trick ECM into believing Boost is low per demand, it will alter vacuum on turbo to allow more Boost, then , with Rail Pressure being offset, crank up the fuel to generate required Boost - Boost is made by fuel, not the other way around - requires exhaust energy in the turbine to drive the compressor - more Boost requires more exhaust energy, more exhaust energy requires more rpm\fuel - or more fuel at any rpm - that's the difference in a Diesel and that other kind of engine - we can add as much fuel and air at any rpm as necessary to get the job done - they gotta throttle plate dictating air intake and corresponding stoke - pity them..................... |
