So, after dealing with my pulley chirping alternator dying issue (which is still on order, actually), I had a fun first yesterday: ABS chattering. This was especially un-welcome since I wasn't braking particularly hard, was on dry pavement, and was only going about 15 mph...
Well, I got some ABS chatter in the pedal with no appreciable difference in the braking itself. I chalked it up to solar flares and parked to go shopping. After I got back and started the jeep, I had an ABS warning lamp lit... After driving about a block, the red "BRAKE" lamp under the left round gauge lit and my mileage started plummeting...as in if I sat at a stop sign, I got better mileage than driving forward
Who's had this before and what is it indicative of?
Dan
