With the Suncoast and shift kit and new pump , initial impressions are very good. The lower tc stall speed is very noticable to me, particularly at 1/3 throttle where RPM does not exceed 2000 where 2500 was speed before. " Burn out" test (for scientific purposes) much more effective, even with 30.5" tires.

Shift kit effects are harder to tell about right now... maybe after the Tranny adapts there will be results to note.

I will put some Autoenginuity "Before and After" results soon to quantify the effect.

Happy customer so far.

Unplug the TCM o'nite, let it dump, replug it in the morning, let it relearn the pressure points with the resistor installed - makes for some good shifting, imo.........................

GMCTD,

How is the shifting improved in your view.....

Right now, I am getting improved (fast, definative) 3rd but the 2nd is still a bit mushy

You have the resistor installed?

Then the results you see are resulted from the lower stall speed of the Hemi TC - we don't yet have a TCM tune to really take advantage of the improved TCC lockup, such as locking up at 30mph, and holding lockup while accelerating to hiway speeds, etc, manual control, etc

Hi gmctd,

Having towed with my truck now versus the CRD, I can see why you are so keen to find a way to improve the transmission schedule on this critter. It would really be a whole different vehicle with modified transmission programming.

On our twisty back roads here, we tend to do 80% of our driving between 40-50mph. This is exactly where I feel the CRD's programming is at its worst.

Chris,
40-50 is a really bad spot.

Agreed. Since I put the bigger tires on, all those numbers moved up a few MPH. Does great from 72-85!
