Is anyone having trouble keeping the engine up to operating temp with your egr disabled? It hasn't been real warm around here lately(50-60) and I notice that the engine temp drops to about 1/4 on the gauge if the crd is just idling. Not a good thing considering winter is coming.

It should not drop at all if the Viscous fluid heater is functioning. When I had mine disabled it would take a while to get up to temp if it was cold but it would stay at the proper temp as long as it was running.

Sounds like the thermostat is sticking open partially and/or the viscous heater isn't working.

I agree. Mine will drop to 1/4 at idle if it's 10ºF outside but 50-60 should be no problem.
