Post subject:  purchaseing MAP sensor

anyone have a spot to buy a sensor cheaper then dealer. They wanted over $100 at the dealer. I don't know if mine is bad but can't get the CEL off for more then 3 days despite what i do as far as cleaning, new air filter, checking hoses and such. So i'm almost due for oil change so i figured i'd ordered a new one and change oil at the same time as install and see if that works. Thanks

Post subject:  Is cleaning the MAP sensor OK?

I´m wondering if cleaning the MAP sensors is causing premature failure? I have cleaned mine couple of times with carb cleaner and it failed a few weeks ago (code 105). It seems from reading the board that there are a number of instances of this lately.

I don't know if cleaning has been giving issues. I'm still just throwing P0069 code, resets itself, then throws code a few days later. Mine always gets thrown at an idle. I have been just useing Diesel fuel to clean mine. Didn't have much trouble until after installing SEGR. Don't know if there is a correlation there or not.

A P0069 is going to be more a result of the Intake Air Pressure Sensor which should be located on the airbox.

shows you how much i know :) Figured it was MAP sensor just because code description is: P0069 MAP- Manifold absolute pressure - Barometric Pressure correlation

Are you talking about the MAF sensor being the issue mayby? Thanks

MAF is on top of the airbox,
Intake Air Pressure Sensor is on the side - unplug it and you have power problems
