I just installed straight pipe, lift pump, and Racor filter-head. Runs great!!! I did not install the fuel heater, temp sensor, or w.i.f. sensor yet. What effect will not having the temp sensor have other than the c.e.l.?
I also had trouble following the links to order a temp sensor. One link takes me to a p.d.f. file that has the part and the part number. The other link takes me to omega.com, but the part number doesn't get me anywhere. Anyone know where to get a temp sensor, or should I just call omega and tell them what I want?

Call Omega and talk to them -
The Engine control computer uses the fuel temp as an input - if it's not connected - it drops down to a default that's to protect the engine and should cut power.

I found TH-44004-NPT-80 on the Omega site. Its the only one listed. I find it hard to believe that they only have one range available now. The one I ordered (more than a year ago) was the TH-44004-NPT-18. My guess is that they want you to call to see what your application is so they can recommend a temp range.

thanks so much for the advice!!! I also found out that I could take the old sensor and housing and zip tie it off temporarily.

When I install mine I call Omega and they gave me an TH-44004-1/8 NPT-18 and the resistor was at 2252 ohms. Cost me $61.00 and wait 2 weeks for the delivery.

When I ordered my temperature sensor the "-80" and "-18" only referred to the length of the cable...80 or 18 inches.
