Post subject: | need advice on fuel line at filter head |
Guys need some advice, I changed my fuel filter today. I have a Racor filter head and filter. After I was done changing the filter I was inspecting everything and noticed that wiring plug for my performance module where it plugs into the map sensor wiring from the truck had been resting against the fuel "in" hose. So when I inspected the hose it was dented in a little bit. Should I be concerned? I moved the module to get the wire connect away from the fuel line but should I cut the line and put a splice in to get rid of that piece of hose? Thoughts? |

Take a whole lotta 'dented in' to squeeze-off that 3/8" hose........................... |

I agree, but I could not tell if it was just dented in or if it was abrasive wear from the connector rubbing on it. |

Wouldn't worry about it unless it is deep enough to see the reinforcing cord weave in the hose. |

There is no pressure on that line anyway, unless you have installed a lift pump and not updated your sig. |
