I took the Liberty to the stealer yesterday to have the speedometer adjusted for the 265's.

There is NO other program for any tire size other than the stock tires that came on it.

any ideas?

W hen I got rid of those awful OEM tires and changed tires and size I took the Jeep to the dealer and they re-programmed the odometer via the shop computer. I was told that if I had a limited I could have done it myself on the evic, but there were only a "few" choices for tire size change in the programming. So, it seems there is (or atl least was in '05) and option to make a change. I think I was charged $15 for the re-program fee. So either I was cheated or your dealer is clueless

2 dealers so far have said they could put in stock tires sizes only -and no to revolutions per mile also.

The Speedo and EVIC are both off
When in doubt multiply by 4%, or get a GPS.

You could have them reprogram the computer for a different gear ratio, it might correct your speedo as well.

Not possibe to "re-program" the BCM for tire sizes without the DRBIII or StarScan, the EVIC has no option for that.It varies by year on how it is done, and it seams to be different for the different models, limited's,sports, and such. The dealership really had fun re-programming mine since I went to 265/75's and swapped to 4.10's,my speedo is only about 1-2 mph off now,way better then the 15-20 it was.

was just at the stealership yesterday and had them change the tire size. Went up to 255/70/16's on the factory rims, took them all of 5 min and no charge... speedo seems to be dead on now but the lib also seems a little more Laggy then before... maybe that's just form the lift and bigger tires?

The stealership was able to reprogram mine for new tires by putting in the rev per mile. It took a couple times for the computer to take it.

I have a friend with a StarScan. What do I need to know in order to have him re-program for my current tires. Do you enter diam or revs per mile??

you need to go to the dealership and have them use startool to reprogram, its the only option I know of!

'05 requires DRBIII - '06 requires STARSCAN - STARSCAN accesses more datapoints than DRBIII - just a few short lines in JAVASCRIPT referencing '05 VIN would cure that, but trying to find a real expert in JAVA is like hoping yer FCV\EGR problem will heal itself...................
