So, i did the ECU inmotion stage 2 thing...
a few days later, i started getting the shakes when the truck reaches 50 something and the tc tries to locck and goes away around 65 70...
got an inline lift pump ... still shudder.

No surprise here... need a new tc.

The weird thing is that when the truck is cold (engine temp is in the normal range) but is not hot outside and on the first 15-20 miles of driving it.... it doesn't do it... as a matter of fact the truck drives like a vat out of hell.

As it gets driven more (and probably everything fully warms up)... is almost impossible not to make it shudder on the 50-65 range.

anyone care to enlighten my ignorance?

Thanks !

I think you mean "shudder or perhaps stutter". 8)

The transmission oil pressure is higher when it's cold due to the higher viscosity. I've said before that the transmission lockup clutch works just fine and there would be no need for the Suncoast TC if someone could come up with a way to reprogram the actuator pressure in TCM. The problem with it is that the TCM is programed to reduce the actuator pressure when the rpm is below a certain level because it supposedly improves fuel economy. That is all fine and good with a gas engine because the torque and power is not really developed until the rpm is over 2k. When max torque occurs at 1600 RPM as in our CRD it allows the clutch to slip and once that happens it's gone. Anyway when the Transmission fluid is cold, the pressure on the lines is higher so the clutch works like it is supposed to.

nursecosmo I think you got it right. Also when the tranmission is cold it keeps the rmp high no issuse. Then when its warms up the tranmission drops rmps the the shudder appears at the 50's mph :x
