Took the Jeep moose hunting.
Very happy with the diesel and 4WD Low at idle, skid plates came in very handy.
Tows my trailer like a dream.
No moose with 2 days to go.
Going back at it, responsibilities intrude on life.

Shifting into 4wd low and letting the little diesel grunt along is one of my favorite things about the CRD.

Do you guys call moose in in Maine, or spot and stalk?

Be careful, while the torque of the CRD may really allow you to plow into the Meese, proper safety equipment should always be used to prevent damage(IE metal front bumper).

Calling, Spot and Stalk and Blind Luck are all important, we have seen nothing except moose tracks and "Smart Pills".
Smart Pills are incredible, try one and you get smaarter, if that don't work try another, you will catch on, most do.
The lady at the only restaurant for miles said one had been bothering her cat out front.
Yes, plowing Moose (plural or singular) with the front end is dangerous, they have a way of crushing the passenger compartment.
We are however well fortified with Sam Adams Ocktoberfest, after shooting hours only.

Semi's up in Canada and Alaska often run these super-beefy "moose bumpers." Love to see one on a CRD....

I wonder if we can get ARB to make that for us?

I don't think that would work at all... the grill guard would stick WAY up over the top, and the sides of the bumper would stick out too far. :?

You had me worried. I was expecting a picture of a really messed up CRD with a pair of large antlers sticking out of it.

Yea, low end torque + torque converter + transfer case + good tires = hill climbing fun...
