But according to the lubricity study I read on dieselstop, Primrose products do NOT help with lubricity, so write that off. In addition, any amount of biodiesel over 2% will not need ANY additional lubricity. Biodiesel is the best possible lubricity additive. Biodiesel is also an excellent cetane enhancement, so you will not need this product if you use biodiesel. Biodiesel also does not need any cleaners as it is an excellent solvent.
It has taken three years but Primrose has done it, created a bio-disel specific winter fuel additve! Primrose 4033 works with Bio to increase cetane, eliminate free water,prevent microbials, provide biofuel stabilization, significantly extend fuel filter life, provide rust protection, lubricity enhancement for our pumps, injectors, detergency to keep our injectors clean and working optimally, AND lowers the biodiesel pour point 30 degrees. You will *feel* the difference with 4033. Works wonderfully with straight #2 diesel also. If this is indeed effective with lowering the pour point of biodiesel, that would be useful, however that would require some test data to convince me; these claims are made by many who do not deliver. For winterizing biodiesel the best solution is kerosene, or diesel with a diesel antigel. I've run B40 in diesel with arctic express (ineffective in B100) that started and ran fine at -30F. |

During ski season here in Oregon, I run Powerservice fuel supplement in my B20 to help with the pour point a bit, and to make sure nothing goes nasty in the fuel if I let the Jeep sit for a couple weeks. They have recently (as far as I know it was recent) come out with Powerservice "Arctic Express Biodiesel Anti-Gel". Powerservice has a great reputation and does well in testing. I'd be inclined to go with them over other products. |

Most additives are recomended for 5% or less bio-d. I don't know why. The Stanadyne additive I just recieved states it on the bottle. |

As far as I can tell, "Antigel" additives that claim effectiveness for biodiesel are always acting on the diesel part of the biodiesel blend. There is, so far, nothing that keeps the biodiesel from gelling other than large quantities of fuel, either diesel or kerosene. |

I have 200 gals. of wvo in the garage waiting to be processed into biodiesel. I may buy a grease kit to run B100 through the winter. Looks like I can get 100 gals a month. Have to calculate the ROI on the 1,200 for kit and install. |
