Has anybody cleaned their intercooler without removing it and would using an air compressor to blow through some cleaning fluid from the top of the intercooler do any damage.

Unless you are an Engineer who designs compressors or a Physicist who loves working with Boils' Law, it will take less time to pull the Intercooler and take it to a shop, than do the calculations and get the right size compressor to blow the cleaner through it.
