Post subject:  CRD FOR SALE....

Hi guys,

I regret to type this but I'm putting my CRD up for sale... It's the coolest vehicle I've owned but I just got a new job and they're giving me a new Land Rover to drive.

It's a silver limited CRD w/ 60k on the clock totally stock. Never been wheeled just taken camping. It has the CAT filter mod, all the fluids have been changed normally and it runs like a top!

Wheels are painted black, it has the mopar dog guard installed, seat covers and I built a really cool rear drawer storage system in the back behind the seats. You can pack a full weeks worth of gear in the back and hit the road!

Looking to get 18k for it. She regularly pulls 25mpg in town and over 32 on the highway.

Email me - jmichaels@thelrl.com for photos and more info if your interested. She's in Tampa, FL and I'd be happy to ship it.

2005 or 2006? My son is looking and he lives in Atlanta. Really I am trying to talk him into it and he hasn't said no yet. I just don't want to send the wrong message here.

Sorry about that. It's a 2006. I really hate to sell it but I just don't need three vehicles. I was totally suprised when the new employer was like "Here's a brand new LR3..." This is BY FAR the best truck I've owned and maybe someday I'll own another but right now I just can't justify the car payment.

Feel free to give me a call - 813-334-7674.

What's your secret? Is this hand-calculated or info from the EVIC? Just bought mine 3 weeks ago and experimenting with driving habits and don't average any more than 23 MPG with 70% highway. Also performed EHM and ORM.

I get about 21 in the city, and 28 on the highway.

I've seen as much as 30mpg on an all interstate trip and that was running between 70 and 80 mph.

I've found that fuel quality has a lot to do with mileage, as well as the temp. Engine seems to like hot weather much better than cold weather.

I can get the same results if only relying on the current reading from EVIC but what is your average per tank calculated by hand? I can pull into a fuel station and fill up and my current EVIC reading might show 28 MPG avg but if I divide total gallons by miles since last fillup, that gives me an accurate avg MPG by tank of fuel.
Just wondering what others are experiencing "real world".

Aslostasyou, I didn't mean to hijack your thread. Sorry you are getting rid of your CRD. It won't last long on the market. Cool company car, must be nice. should get about 20 MPG in the LR2 or 15 in the LR3.

Any suggestions on where to list it guys other than here? Not many people in Florida know what these trucks are and I'm a motivated seller.

Maybe auto trader? I’ve seen CRDs sell for under $10,000 with 80,000 + miles on them. In my opinion, you’re asking a pretty hefty price considering the mileage. But you never know, you might get what you're asking.

I don't have an EVIC, so all my calculations are done by hand by resetting the trip meter, driving, then filling the tank and looking at how many gallons I put in and how far I traveled. About as accurate as you can get.
