I’m looking for a brake controller for the KJ. I have a Tekonsha Prodigy in my Truck and I really like it. Maybe I should buy another one?????? |

I got the Voyager and wish that I'd spent a bit more on the Prodigy. I find the Voyager is a pain in the stupid because it continually needs to be tweaked. |

I went for a Hensley TruControl: installation pics It does well but after using it, I probably could have gotten by with the Prodigy I use in my truck. - Chris |

We upgraded to a Jordan 2020 and it is much better than the Prodigy it replaced. The TruControl looks interesting but I really like the proportional control of being tied into the tow vehicles brakes. How do you like the TruControl? |

I went with: DRAW-TITE PINNACLE DIGITAL BRAKE CONTROL Works great Even when a Grand Theft Auto taught driver stops in-front of you. My Flat bed trailer has 12" X 2" brakes on 5.2K axles. |

05CRD, Please let us Prodigy users know how you have found your new Jordan outperforms the Prodigy. Thanks, DOC |

The TruControl is pretty nice. The only place where I had problems with it is that the braking behavior would sometimes get more or less strong if I was pointing up or down a steep hill. Otherwise, it was pretty much a set-it-and-forget-it controller. The Prodigy was also somewhat touchy about hills, but I also found I had to tweak it depending on temperature, weather conditions, etc. The TruControl didn't need this constant "touch-up." - Chris |

Doc, The Jordan is truly proportional off the pedal and doesn't require the change in inertia the prodigy does, so no more bumping on hills and no more tweaking the controller. We had a brakesmart on another truck that was also proportional off the pedal but much more expensive that the Jordan. Use whatever works to be safe, especially with heaver loads. |
