Lately my CRD has been getting terribel fuel mileage has been loosing power at random times when I start from a stop. The engine light comes on everytime it does it but goes away after I turn the key off. Today when the light came on I immediately went to the auto parts store and did a OBD code check and I got P0069. The explanation of this code is Manifold Pressure Sensor(MAP)- barometric pressure correlation MAF, mechanical fault. When I went to the local Jeep dealer to get the part they could not find a sensor in their computer that matches the description. The only sensors that they said it might be is either a Camshaft Sensor or an Air Temperature, Boost Pressure sensor which they said is not a MAP sensor. Is there another name for the MAP sensor that the dealer would use. If it is the Air temp/boost pressure sensor can I get it cheaper online than the $135 the dealer charges. Thanks

Yes, it is the air temp/boost pressure sensor.

Don't be so fast to order a new sensor. I was just saying that MAP is the term we use for the manifold pressure/temp sensor. There could be something else wrong. Check your intercooler hoses for splits and clean your MAP sensor first. See these threads.
