Is there anything available like this? If not can anybody explain why? Do you actually need it there for the segr to work? This is for offroad only of course.

With the SEGR it's not needed  If you use a plate you'll get a error but it seems that non US programming in the ECM it will not give you a error if you put in a plate and remove the butteryfly plate in the EGRflow control valve. There's two parts to the puzzle  Lots of threads cover the EGR issue for off road use of course 8)

Correct, i have the plate and no butterfly in the FCV and no error code but that's because the export version has lower emission tolerances than your model does and is not so sensitive to emission variances when modifying for OFF ROAD USE.

You don't need the plate. Just get your egr to close and unplug it. CEL will light but it does work and work well.

Here is a pic of the FCV with the butterfly removed. I've got a pic of a "block of plate" that was used for "off-roading." I'll have to post that later.

Post subject:  Plate is only needed if EGR is JUNK

If the EGR is closed, no exhaust is flowing and you are good. I would not bother with the plate unless the EGR valve is stuck open and can not be closed by using MrMopar's well written up soak and free up procedure.
What I would use instead of a plate would be some exhaust manifold gasket material that NAPA sells. Cut the outside to shape with tin snips and only put in the two bolt holes with out the big hole in the middle. Now you don't need two gaskets to seal up the plate and no one will see any plate if they stick their nose under your hood.

Where might I find this soak and free up procedure?
