Just got mine today and it is a bit dissappointing. Only reads "CCM" and only displays "RPM and TPS" (misnomer...lol) while in Live Data Mode.

I have never recieved the recall for torque converter and reprogram PCM/TCM. Does that have anything to do with reading the OBDII?

For the couple that have the Innova Series...any thought?

Darby.

Does the jeep site list you as needing the F31 recall :?: If so it was caused by a pre f-37 flash in June of 06. Mine got that flash and vag-com would not find any controlers at all. After f-31 vag-com reads many live values but can only display 4 of your choosing at a time  But it ONLY does OBD-II stuff. Not like it does on VW/Audi products.

To answer your question though since it does see RPM and throttle position I don't think it's a jeep problem other then the way the buss is cludged together

The only two that are listed for my 2006 CRD are the 1) blower motor and 2) tranny. I don't think that the f-37 would incorporate the f-31 but who knows with Jeep...

Anyone know the exact wording the Jeep site would use for the f-31?

One of the flashes enabled aftermarket scanners to work on the TCM of my 06.

Darby,

NurseCosmo has a 3130 which reportedly woks well with his '05 CRD which has NOT had the F31 upgrade (according to VIP).

My 3120 (supposed to be identical to 3130 except for "live" data collection, according to Innova) does NOT communicate with our '05 CRD which has had F31.

(Innova 3030 does work with our CRD as well as a recent iteration of VAGCOM.)

As I recall there was a pre-F31 that did a number on the TCM and perhaps the ECM to change the shift points and a bunch of other stuff and fouled up the OBD port. The F-31 undid the programming problem for the OBD, reset the shift point again to try and deal with the lock up issue and also addressed the problem with the bad filter in the tranny. I think that many who were concerned about being nuetered by the F-37 actually got nuetered in the F-31 (me included) but the F-31 only impacted a few months on production in from about November '05 to February '06. If you were not hit by the de-tuning in the F-31 then they would get you in the F-37.

It seems to me that the mod that fouled the OBD may have been the one that was actully for the BCM problem.

Just checked in today and saw my name. I had the F37 which I understand includes all previous flashes (F31as well). I have been very happy with the Innova 3130. It shows all the live data I care to look at or there is a setting to just look at four custom values at a time. It sounds like you have stumbled onto that setting. The manual is your friend with this unit.
