Reminds me of an exchange in the movie "Blazing Saddles" -

Bart : "Can't you see that's the last act of a desperate man?"

Howard Johnson : "I don't care if it's the first act of Henry the Fifth, we're leaving!"

The first comment on that article page nailed it - saving 20 grand on clock batteries is somehow going to make up for 30 million in exec bonuses? One commenter called it "sheer buffoonery". Only one comment praised Chrysler for it's "innovative attempts at cost savings" - must have been one of the execs due a bonus.

If this is the best and brightest of the business world, no wonder this country is in the crapper.

Captain Smith would be better than no captain at all.....
Mr. Nardelli is an empty suit. That is my (truckbouy2) evaluation, of course.....
