I will say yes to the never ending codes, but I rather look at a light on the dash than to see a car hitting me due to poor acceration from a stop.

I got the connector off by removing the fuel filter. Take a short flat head screwdrive, insert it into the slot facing the front. Move the handle towards the rear and pull of the connector.

Wow.. I just cant get that darn connector off the egr. Removed the Fuel Filter, But just couldnt get the screwdriver down in the slot. Just couldnt see where to get it. Its the connector right underneath the control valve elbow? I feel like such a noob.

Don't be I know how you feel. Took almost a hour to do mine. If you took off the EGR mixing valve connector, look at that, The locking tap is the same. That will give you some ideal how it work. That is how I figured if out. Yes you are at the right spot.
