SWEEET... I can't wait for some of this performance stuff to become available to us. I'd rather have one of these to monitor all functions than a bunch of separate guages that are a PITA to install. Keep us updated...

I called Bully Dog today, checking on options for an EGT and Boost gauge for my CRD. I like the idea of the Edge Attitude and Bully Dog Outlook monitors, one small panel able to display 4 separate readings at once. Looking online at Edge's installation instructions, it appears as though their Attitude monitor isn't designed for stand alone use, you have to use it with one of their performance modules to be able to read anything other than EGT. If anyone has different info on this, please feel free to correct me. When I called Bully Dog, they said their Outlook monitor was designed to be able to operate as a stand alone unit, a separate pyrometer for EGT, and plugged into the OEM data port harness for other readings. However, right now they don't have a Outlook monitor designed to work with the CRD. But, they said they had just been inforned this week by the higher-ups that a CRD specific Outlook monitor and plug-in performance module would become available in February. I was looking at adding at least an EGT gauge prior to installing an Aero Turbine muffler, but now I'm thinking that perhaps I'll go ahead and install the muffler and get the Outlook monitor later. Why spend upwards of $200 on a single gauge when something better is just around the corner? |
