Is there an easy way to drain the radiator and even the engine etc of coolant? and what coolant should i use? Do i have to go to mopar and get bent over the barrel?

Use Zerex G-05 which is available at Checker/Shucks/Kragen, sometimes others.

there should be a petcock that will allow you to drain the radiator at the bottom of one of the thanks.

I've fiddled with the petcocks in the past and had them BOTH open (as far as i know it was open :P) and nothing came out :P

Just pull the lower radiator hose,fastest way to drain the radiator.

You might get the engine pretty well drained by pulling the lower hose, but I doubt you'll get the radiator more than halfway - on the CRD, the radiator hoses connect halfway up the radiator on opposite sides - crossflow radiator. You'd still need to open the drain petcock on the radiator to get it completely empty. And I've yet to find an easily accessible drain fitting for the engine block, if there is one.

And the way the lower rad hose is shaped and routed, an elongated U that runs under the front of the engine to the opposite side of the radiator, if you don't pull it loose you'll still have a good amount of old coolant left in the hose.

If you want to do an honest-to-god flush, no need to go to the dealer - any competent repair shop, especially one that specializes in radiator repair or A/C work, should be able to do the job for you.
