Did you get your stimulus check yet? When all the Trillioms of dollars being printed hit the street, $50,000 will seem cheap. Or maybe you will just not be able to steal enough money to be able to buy one, no connections? |

Chrysler could be getting that $$$ plus a lot more instead of AEV, but bankruptcy is more attractive to their management. |

They'll sell a few to the uber-rich eccentric Jeep guys. Potential issues I see are: automatic only, off road only, $50k+! You can do alot of converting to your street legal ride for $50k. |

You? Yup, received my first one, qualify for 2 more, they are on the way, checks are in the mail. With my stimulus checks, 0% financing, cash rebates and tax credits, tax rebates, it is do-able. If only I still had a job. |

What stimulus checks are these? Has there been a new round announced that I (obviously) missed hearing about? |

...went to the House Keeper who works in the Hotels I stay in so she can pay the Mortgage on her 1/2 million dollar home in the Gated Community. J8 Diesel sounds cool, too bad it's off road only. For $50,000 I bet you could set a JK body on a 1 1/2 ton chassis with a Navistar Max force 5 under the hood. Maybe Diesel Toyz knows, can you put 14,000 GVW running gear on a JK, throw a fifth wheel on the roof and get away with a Diesel conversion if you call it a Semi Tractor? Just a very crazy thought |

"Instead of receiving a check from the government, most single taxpayers will see an adjustment to their tax withholding in their paychecks in 2009 and 2010, giving them about $45 extra per month for the rest of this year (married workers will receive an extra $65). If you're self-employed, you can adjust your quarterly tax payments to benefit from the tax credit. Then you will claim the credit when you file your 2009 tax return next spring, bringing your tax bill in line with your reduced payments." |

Ah. I had heard about that stuff, but since my father is a CPA, he takes care of the filing needs. Darn, I could have used more free money. |

Just tell the Treasury Department that you're an investment banker and you're sorry. They'll send a check for billions right away! |

Problem is, I would actually use the money on useful things, like investing in building the first USA-built electric vehicle powered solely by a diesel generator. Basically a locomotive with rubber tires. I wouldn't ever get the money, because I wouldn't be interested in spending it only as a "retention bonus" for myself. I would actually want to HELP the economy and the environment. *sigh* |

I followed a whole semi of J8's into Chrysler Tech Center this morning. Why couldn't just one 'fall off the truck?' I'd have given it a good home... |
