Hello, In getting ready to buy a CRD. Im searching nation wide. When I buy I want to have the parts ready for an elephant hose. Can you who have one tell me the inside diameter of the hose and the length youre using? Also, as it leaves the passenger side and heads over the engines driver side what routing are you using as the hose goes down. And where is its eventual end? I'd like to have the parts with me to fit this for the long drive back to Seattle from wherever I purchase. Along with pulling the MAF for the drive home..... Thank you. |

3/4" ID. 4 or 5 feet out to get you anywhere you need to go. Where you route it depends on what you want to rustproof. I wouldn't recommend running it up near the air filter, but other than that... |

Heater hose will deteriorate from the oil, but it will work for a while. Lots of folks have used the clear hose (PVC?) with reinforcing weave like you'd get from a hardware or home center. Hydraulic return line would probably hold up the best long term, but I'd use something cheaper and easier to find till you figure out a system you like. |
