Before I got my In motion tune... Tc was running great.

re-Programed the ECU with their little programmer, 2 days later needed a new tc

added a lift pump, it seemed to be a bit more responsive, and totally cured the air in lines problem.

a few months later got so frustrated with the shudder that forced me to change the tc to a suncoast, still a little shudder, but MUCH better.

added 1 thing of dr tranny shuderr fix... now is 90 % better ! some people seem to put more than 1 dose of the shudder fix fluid... i just got 1 there. might add another one just for kicks.

So you actually pull the ECU and send it to them? I went to their website but couldn't really figure out exactly how it gets done.

I was considering an Inmotion tuning for my CRD. Wanted to know your experiences - good, bad, ugly, etc. I still have the stock torque converter but my build date is 12/05 so I think it has the "better" torque converter. Should I install a Suncoast first? Or a lift pump for the fuel?

Any thoughts?

Just got my ECU back in the mail today. It should be up and growling in about 30 minutes. Won't have any good info for you for awhile, but it seems to me that everyone here has had a good experience. I figure I was destined to replace the TC before too long anyway. Will run it until it gets symptomatic, then replace it. I also got the SEGR kit as I only drive off road

DO IT!! I got the stage 2 tune, and love it. The dealer even managed to re-flash me after they installed the Suncoast for me, and I was able to get the programmer from InMotion, download my ECU code, email it to them, have them modify it, and re-upload it. Easy as can be. Good folks to deal with too, and the flash has a lifetime guarantee, so if you ever get overwritten by the dealer, the re-flash is free of charge.

Didn't take quite 30 minutes--at least if we're not counting the beer swigging. Definitely has more torque, less hesitation. Seems to me that it sounds a little more like a percolator--kind of like installing a higher lift/longer duration cam in a gasser. chadhargis--What's your experience with fuel mileage?

Ooooo, stop it you guys. I'm getting excited. Yowza. . . 2x on that SEGR. That's why I did the ORM. . . So you actually pull the ECU and send it to them? I went to their website but couldn't really figure out exactly how it gets done.

You can not do wrong with the in motion, If your thinking of it, do it. It is a SIGNIFICANTLY different driving experience over stock. It is 100% good

Can they completely eliminate the stupid limp mode b/c the computer is unhappy about a sensor? They can totally kill off the EGR, right? What other toys / tweaks can they turn back on?

Has anyone with the Inmotion had it go into limp mode after the tune - when it didn't before? like acceleration - like it's momentarily running out of fuel?

Do It, but beware that your TC my be unhappy. I had to put in the Suncoast immediatly after the stage II. The lockup clutch started slipping. Too much torque. Now with the Suncoast I have shudder but can't for sure determine if the clutch is slipping. The R's don't go up when it shudders. With the old the R's would increase greatly when it shuddered, so it was slipping. Plan on a Suncoast if you put in the stage II! Don't get me wrong, I don't want to discourage anyone. The Stage II is great fun. The vehicle runs totally different. Lost of power and acceleration.

On the tube it says to add one tube to small transmissions and two to large ones. The transmission fluid capacity doesn't get much larger the ours unless you are talking 68RFE.

There are four 8mm nuts on studs that secure it three of which couldn't be easier to remove. I had a bit of trouble getting to one of the lower ones as the wiring harness that goes to the fuse box was in the way. Overnighted it to InMotion, they flashed it the day they received it and overnighted it back. A breeze.

I'd plan on the Suncoast TC and as long as you have it apart, I'd go for the entire Transgo kit upgrade, also available from the folks that bring you the Suncoast TC. I'm waiting for the 7/70000 DC Powertrain warranty to expire, until then, the stealer can keep installing new OEM TC's every 15,000 - 20,000 miles. My 2005 TC has been replaced twice by the stealership and the tranny ECU neutered/reflashed, once after getting the RC tune. I'd ask Inmotion if you can start with a level one tune before cranking up the turbo boost pressures to a level two tune and I'd also consider installing a boost valve if your going for a level two tune or higher. JMHO. I'd love to $hitcan the slushbox and install a 5 or 6 speed manual tranny. Any adventurous souls out there look into swapping in a manual tranny? If you never had your TC replaced or Tranny ECU reflashed to the neutered programming, you're one lucky ba$tard. Care to swap tranny ECU's with me plus $100. I'd love to get my hands on an original unaltered tranny ECU
