Seems my idle speed is higher than usual even fully warmed up. It is about 750 rpm. I guess I never really paid attention before now. This the normal idle speed? :?:

It depends on what you consider "higher than normal"

The only vehicle I've owned that didn't idle @ 750 was a 2002 Neon - I've owned a '74 Dodge Challenger, '70 Plymouth Fury, 1986 Plymouth Reliant, 1991 Dodge D150, and many others.

I was thinking it was idling slower.... I had a 74 Challenger, frosty green 318 auto no power steering, I kept my Challenger 16 years and really regret selling it. It only had 60k on the clock! Almost brings a tear to my eye

Supposedly, if you put the t-case in low range it'll idle at 100 RPM higher. Pedal sensitivity is also reduced. I hate that feature. But anyway...if you are in low-range 4x4 yep it'll idle higher. Otherwise 750 is about right.
