Iv'e also been able to get 36 MPG, but it is really painful driving 56MPH on the freeway. Strangly, I can also get >30 if I really hammer it @85-90 with lots of passing on copless two lane roads. |

Last Fall on the way to Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico from the USA border on the Mexican two lane I got my best at 36.4 MPG. Even with my roof rack now I can get 30 at 62 to 65 MPH! Roland |

Well I rounded things. It was like 35.43 to get anal. I was driving 60 MPH for the entire trip. When I get home ill post a picture of the dash showin the numbers and fuel light on!!! I told myself I'd be happy with 35mpg and I got it! |

36 sounds nice - but I hate driving 60 - and Nashville to Seattle is 2400+ miles - 40 hours of driving |

Sweet Joe!! The best I got when I had her was 30.2mpg. That was from Nashville to Savannah, GA on a tank. Doing 70-80mph. I'm a bit of a lead foot, and there is no way I'd have the self control to do 60mph for that long. Keep in mind, that's with an InMotion Stage 2 tune. I miss 'er already. I loved that little Jeep. You'll hit Denver tomorrow. You won't see 35mpg climbing the Rockies, that's for sure. Especially if you go over Vail Pass, but I suppose at some point you'll head north unless your going to ride I-70 to Utah. |

60 mph all the way through Kansas |

The only time I drove across Kansas was in a Ford Probe GT. I think I ran 100+mph all the way across seeing 130mph on occasions. It was still boring. LOL! If Joe decided to give up on the 60mph thing...I had InMotion remove the speed limiter. |

That EVIC sure does make you feel good about MPG |

re-read the post - it's not Evic - its miles driven / fuel added |

The EVIC on my Grand CRD is WAY off. It always reads abysmally low. You can even reset it doing 55mph on flat level ground and it will read 19mpg. Hand calculated, I got 25.5mpg on my last trip and that was a 85/15 highway/city tank. I see no reason to doubt Joe's figures. I owned that Liberty, and even towing a trailer at 70mph I saw it get 25mpg. |

Yeah it sucks, I know. I drive all over the state for work, its gets boring especially when the speed limit used to be 55. |

I agree, running it a little harder @ 70-75 mph and 2200+RPM it seems like the turbo is at peak boost w/ helping w/ mpg boost. wonder if someone w/ a gauge can confirm. Running up I-70 over the mountains at least it's easier for the turbo to pack in that thin air. I'm always running 65+ mph in the left lane over the passes, getting looks from big gasser V-8 SUVS, and keeping up w/ the big 3's Diesel trucks. |
