Post subject:  engine mounts

I've had one or two replaced before, now it seems like I'm having the same isssue. Where are they located to check, are they easy to look at? I want to look before I take it in because they charge me to look at the thing now if they can't find a problem.

What "same issue"?

Either side of the engine on the engine cradle, in a line behind each front wheel - partial pics in Haystack thread in CRD TECH ONLY section, scroll thru to Provent tap location

I'll check the haystack thread. By "same issue" I mean the symptoms that the vehicle is now having are similar to what I had the last time they replaced engine mounts, it ratttles like crazy (epecially enaged in reverse with the brake on) and coming to a shut down is hard clunks to a stop.

Sounds like:

a. your alternator pulley is bad, and

b. your AFC valve is stuck open

Post subject:  Dealer test that may help and why

Hang a roll of TP at the back of the dealer's lot and see if they start looking for Gopher Holes to wipe out. Sounds like your Dealer might be mechanically challenged if they replaced motor mounts and the problem came back.

One of the very depressing news articles I read listed by name the Chrysler dealers who are getting dumped because they contributed money to the minority political party candidates that the UAW bosses did not like.

Too bad Chrysler does not look at the Quality of Service, Parts, and Sales Volume to make their determinations on who gets the axe instead of "Finger in the Wind" politics.

When I need Parts or Service, I want quality, not Politics.
