Cleaned my map a few times. What is the failure rate of these? Common?

Have you checked your boost hoses and/or intercooler for cracks or leaks? That may also be a source of a code for low boost pressure.

Is it running ok, or have you experienced a drop in performance? Have you cleared the code with your scanner?

cleared the code with my scanner but haven't checked my hoses. It will take 3-5 days for the code to come back after cleaning + clearing the code. Still the same performance as far as i know.
I will take a look at them

What are you using to clean the sensor? I use chlorine-free brake parts cleaner. If you used regular brake cleaner, you may have inadvertently zapped the sensor. A new one is less than $50.

Yeah but the CCV shouldn't have any effect on the MAP Sensor, where the code is coming from. The only effect the CCV should have on the MAP is turning it into a shapeless blob of oil. (and soot if you are running EGR)

Air, as anything under pressure, takes the path of least resistance, which indicates a leak somewhere in the air intake between the FCV at the mouth of the intake (which could be crudded up with EGR soot if you are not running the ORM or SEGR) and the outlet of the turbo. That means your components in question are the boost hoses, intercooler, the body of the intake itself, the FCV, and the MAP sensor are the components in question.

Neat, I'm going to have to keep Summit in mind then. Thx for the info, and do a follow up post so we can know if it was the sensor. Some of us may want to invest in a spare.

Ordered from mopar parts america after summit called and said it would be a week before they could ship. Just got it in the mail and they sent 05101120-AB when i ordered a MAP Sensor for a 2005 liberty 2.8l.
It looks like others have gotten this part as well thinking it was a MAP http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=624783 This is obviously the wrong part. Calling them now. On the invoice it says SENSOR-AIR. Wonder if they messed up

Several people have had this problem, in the parts fiche the MAP and MAF are switched, I think this has caused several people to get the wrong parts.

Got in touch with the tech. He said there are a lot of "air" sensors on the crd and thats why I got the wrong part. He sent me a picture of the engine and asked me to email him back the number I was looking for. Told him I was looking for number 14 and provided a part number. Is it just me or does this look like a 2.5?

Huh. If you can get the part #, can you post it here? And let us know how quickly MPA was able to rectify the situation - getting you the correct sensor.

Correct part number is 0281002437. I told him that on the phone and he still wanted me to point it out. Kind of strange they just send you something random if they don't know what to look for. I will call back tomorrow.

They said number 14 was a cam sensor and had no records of that part number. Although that is the correct part number. They are going to call me back.

number 8 is the Boost Pressure sensor. They said that the CRD has no MAP sensor. Only a boost sensor. Could this be the part?

68031593AA is the part the guy gave me. Looking around this seems to be the right part. Is this what we call the "MAP" sensor here? its $129.00! I have one on hold at the local jeep dealer. I will go look at it after work. Might have to dive in and buy it at that price

Manifold Air Pressure sensor, oft called the BOOST sensor in a Diesel engine because there is little vacuum in the intake tract - vacuum, as we all know, is a term used for measurement of any reduction in Barometric pressure, as in the intake of one of those other engines - and remember: MrMoParts, like a sleazy girlfriend, is not encouraged to think, only to perform....................
