I have joined the forums only a few times since becoming a member of Lost Jeeps .. so I may have missed the answer to my question ... and I can't seem to find anything in existing forums ... so here goes ... Has anyone had any experience in modifying the exhaust on a CRD? I have been told that performance and mileage will increase with larger pipes ... something like 3" pipes ... I have not been able to find much on this topic and would like to know what kind of muffler and other parts would be used. I thought I saw an article in Diesel Power Magazine last year on this but can also not find that article in back issues. Any input would be appreciated. I have 70+ on my CRD and would not trade it for any other vehicle on the road ... just looking for ways to make it even better! |

Hey there, mule. First, let me welcome you to the forum - you will find more information here than you can dream of for modding out your CRD. However, the "CRD TECH SECTION" is for tech write-ups only. General questions/ discussions on CRD issues are in "CRD. . . Love that Torque." Try this link about exhaust, and check the links in my post about 1/2 way down.
