Post subject:  Diff Cover Install Pics

Just thought I'd share some pics of the cover on the Jeep.
It's the Rock Lizard cover he offered awhile back that I powder coated
and drilled and tapped for a temp sensor and larger drain plug.
Changed the oil to Sever Gear 75W-140 and used a LubLocker gasket.
We had to relieve both the left and right insides a little to make room for
the cap tab brackets.
All in all, it's a really nice, stout piece and I don't think a rock will peal it off.
I'm getting a little excited because more nice stuff is coming real soon.
Just waiting on some help from some friends in the technical department.
Enjoy:

I just bought one differential cover from Ruffstuff and it is just like that one, very heavy and made of #50 still.

nescosmo,

Before install, lay it on a flat surface to make sure the mating face is flat.

Just sayin'.

Does it provide for a larger oil capacity?

Just a little bit more, about 1/3 Qt.
I thought it would be more than that.
I think the PML pan holds more, but I decided against it because it is aluminum.
Can't afford to bust it on a rock.
