LOST members, and other fellow readers - For those of you who have been following somewhat closely, or otherwise conversing with the GDE staff, you know that we've been recently kicking off development of our turbo kit to improve the KJ performance beyond your imaginations. On our GDE forum, we have updated a thread that includes information about the turbo, what the kit will include, and now has pictures showing all the various components and engineering modifications to adapt these pieces to the KJ platform. Feel free to post anywhere you wish with any questions, information that you'd like to see but hasn't been posted yet, or any other general comments/concerns you have. Our 05 mule has accumulated over 2000 miles since the 4th of July weekend and has had no issues yet except for increased smile factor. Pending hot weather and altitude validation later this summer, the kit will be available for sale. Additionally, we are discussing offering our services for installation assistance to those who don't have the time, tools, or confidence to tackle the project on their own - or, for those who do but need a second set of hands, we are more than willing to come help spin wrenches and even consume some "adult beverages." We will have a draft of the installation instructions in a week or so for interested parties to read so that they have a better understand of what will be required. Based on having installed/removed on the car so far, it should take no more than a good day from pull it in the garage to drive it back out. For more information, please read here: GDEForum: Turbo Kit Details |
