Post subject:  Help P0700 and 0750 code and CEL *update*

P0750 - Shift Solenoid A
P0700 - Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

These codes popped up with a CEL on my wife this morning. Went to 3000 RPM and locked there (releasing gas did not let RPM go down, had to brake to get RPM to come down) then went into limp. I just drove it with no issues, but the CEL will not go away even with scanner clear. It did not shudder for her and I noticed no issues when I drove it other than the CEL. Fluid is good and have not done any maintenance. Ideas?

Replace the defective solenoid?

Also delete the other thread (you double posted)

Code:
Symptom:P0750-LR solenoid CIRCUIT

When Monitored and Set Condition:
P0750-LR solenoid CIRCUIT

When Monitored: Initially at power-up, then every 10 seconds thereafter. The solenoids
will also be tested immediately after a gear ratio or pressure switch error is detected.
Set Condition: Three consecutive solenoid continuity test failures, or one failure if test is
run in response to a gear ratio or pressure switch error.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
RELATED relay DTC’S PRESENT
INTERMITTENT wiring AND CONNECTORS
L/R solenoid CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
TRANSMISSION relay OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
L/R solenoid CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
L/R solenoid CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
L/R- SOLENOID/TRS ASSEMBLY
TCM - L/R solenoid CIRCUIT

I would think your p0700 comes form the 750, however, across the internet i see reference to p0700 in a 545rfe (by itself with no other code) as indicating the speed sensor is defective.

I'm sure others will chime in.

EDIT: just found this, perfect for you.

Had to take Jeep to dealer, under the /70,000 they replaced the TCM. They said it was throwing erroneous codes p0733, p0734, p0736, and p0750. Seems to work fine now, but we will see. Not sure why it would all of the sudden go bad, I recently had the GDE done, but it drove for a week and a half with no problems so I don't think that played into the issue. At least the repair only cost me $100.

p0733 - Gear Ratio Error in 3rd
p0734 - Gear Ratio Error in 4th
p0736 - Gear Ratio Error in Reverse
p0750 - LR Solenoid Circuit

Thank goodness the TCM replacement was under warranty, hopefully the remembered to perform the TCM Quick Learn procedure when they put the new one in....
