I pulled my MAF sensor tonight and started my engine. Instead of the expected MIL illumination, I had my ESP Warning Light and ESP Indicator lights illuminate solid with no MIL warning light. Pulled out the code reader and got the P0102 code I would expect with the MAF sensor unplugged. After I plugged the MAF sensor back in and drove down the street, I stopped and restarted the engine, which turned off the ESP Warning Light and ESP Indicator light. Anyone seen this before? Any idea what would cause that? |

These CRDs each come with it's own gremlin which lives in a tiny cave within the ECU. Sometimes they will trip a limp mode without a CEL. Sometimes they will make the transmission drop out of gear without warning. Sometimes they roll the windows down on rainy nights, but only after your wife has been driving the Jeep. |
