My brother just called and said a warning light came on in his 05 KJ CRD. They looked it up in the manual and found out it's the Oil Pressure Warning Light. Unfortunately, he's in the middle of an 8-hour drive, so he has no scan tool or...well, pretty much any tools at all.

Does anyone know how a KJ CRD could have sufficient oil, not be leaking anything, and still be throwing the oil pressure warning light? I'm thinking it's the oil pressure sensor gone bad...maybe.

I would like to tell you it's ok to drive, but if something bad happens it could be very expensive. Check with a manual gauge before driving it to be sure oil pressure is up.

There have been one or two bad oil pressure sensors reported here on the forum.
