Took off my seatbelt to fix my shirt while driving and while it was dinging at me to put back on my seatbelt the dash went dead... all lights / speedo-tach went to 0. Only did it for like 1/2 a sec then everything went back on. It did'nt stop driving and my radio still worked.
Is this just a hiccup? Anything i should look for?

Try doing it again. It might be one of those little "features" with the BCM programming. If it's not consistent, then keep an eye out for other strange stuff. It could be a short somewhere that's causing the circuit that powers the dash to act wonky. I noticed you have a new rack. Did you splice anything under the dash in there when you installed it?

My old Dodge pickup used to do this every once in a while. Turns out that the left (or right?) connector behind the dash had jiggled slightly loose over the years.

If it does it again, pay attention to what specifically you lose. My speedo/odo, fuel guage, and temp guage used to go and, when I looked at the repair manual, I discovered that all those pieces were wired through a single connector.

The fix: stick your head under the dash, find the connector, and jiggle it lightly with a long-handled screwdriver. Works fine now :D

this is most likely do to a loose connection at the dash. If it does it again it is likely a good thump to the dash will fix it.

I had this happen to me once in 20K miles ago. Just left the driveway, turning left. 1/2 of a second of lost intruments. She kept running. Has not happened again since a TCM update... cant remember which TSB, however.
