I tried to see if I could save some cash and look for a wrecked Dodge in-tank lift pump.

'05-'06 Dodge Ram 2500, 3500 part number 5143160AA

It seems that part numbers and make are little value here. I need to know the box length.

Any idea what I should say for this?

I also checked with the dealer and the pump has been superceded with
5143160AB

Anyone try this one?

Any '05-'06-'07'etc Diesel pump will work: 10psig - long as it's not for gassers (patooie!): 65psig

I can't see the box length having a different fuel pump. But it does need to be from a diesel. I have the "AA" version.

Thanks guys, thought so.

Either than the dealer (at $331+tax), the only pump I could find "locally" comes from the mainland (I am on an island). Auto wreckers part numbers are different for short and long box version in-tank pumps.

The 3rd option is to order new out of the States and add some $duty.

I phoned Abbotsford and the salesman told me that the tanks are a different size for the short and long box versions. Probably why the pumps are listed different.

They want $220+shipping+tax for a used pump.
A new pump with duty is still cheaper out of the States.
