My '05 CRD Limited is throwing the code P0191. Just had the 100k mile service completed. During which they replaced the fuel seperator and wiring update. Anyone have to replace this sensor yet? TIA |

WOW...100k miles, thats pretty cool.Did you take a pic of the odomoter? 800 bucks is a lot for a pressure senser.Other than the code,is there a noticeable difference in how it drives? |

This error is for drift detection on the rail pressure sensor, it is checked right after shutting off the engine and checks the pressure reading to make sure it is somewhere near zero. If it is off by too much it flags a code. So your sensor could be reading high or low by 100 bar or so. Do they have to replace the fuel rail with the sensor? If the vehicle is working fine, it could be a false code. Are you running D-2 or bio? That cost is out of sight for a $40 sensor. |

Will take the pic at 200k miles.... Driveability = same. Fuel Mileage = dropped. Run B10 [mostly], ULSD [when I must], Home Heating Fuel [run recently because of emergency]. Would the SP Diesel being messing with the reading, after the 100k mile service was completed. SET CONDITION READS: The Fuel Pressure Sensor signal is below 0.415 volt for 1.0 second. I don't want to pull the MAF & go back to EH Mod until the codes stop turning on the CEL. TIA. |

Get the part number and check online. Once I wanted to buy a fuel filter and was quoted the price for the whole fuel head assembly filter included because he had it in stock and wanted to find out if I was Stupid enough to buy it. Parts people are number people, not technicians. BTW, when I installed my lift pump the old filter head assembly started leaking fuel and I got it under warranty. |

So I unplug the SP Diesel Mod. Start/Stop engine couple times. CEL goes away. Plug SP Diesel back in. CEL returns. Emailed SP Diesel Tech. Waiting for reply. Thanks. |

Fixed. Air in fuel lines. SP Diesel is plugged back in and all is good with the world. |

Good luck with the tech's at SP Diesel. They wouldn't give me the time of day if I paid for it when I had a connector question. I'll bet their response is "We'll be glad to sell you a new one." Chances are that you have to reset the SP Module. There is an adjustment you do at idle to "Somewhat" calibrate it. |
