Has anyone actually tried the Napa timing belt referenced in this thread:

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=45930

Is it right? I've found more than one aftermarket parts book that listed the wrong parts for our CRDs.

I too have struck out with the stealership in trying to order a timing belt. Says he can get the tensioner and the idler pulleys but the belt is on backorder with no availability date.

Is there any way to ask VM about a source for these parts?

The NAPA belt is a Gates product. I, too, am interested to find out if anybody has used the NAPA belt and compared it to the OEM. I'm at 125K miles and plan to replace the timing belt very soon.

I bought the Gates Belt but have not installed it.

The box and belt is marked T336 and the box is marked Chrysler 5142579AA.

I Googled the Chrysler number and it referenced our engine.

It comes with a warranty that if the belt is defective, it covers labor associated with repair.

The belt is warranted for the specified replacement interval.
