Someone expressed concern in another thread about this. We have both the 7/70 and DCJ 7/100 ESP. I have always returned the rig to "stock" before visiting the dealer, which includes removing fuse #17 to disguise the presence of the Cummins lift pump.

Problem is, the rig would not start when it was time to remove it from the shop due to a leak I did not know was there. The fuel heads were on at least a 3 week backorder, so I reluctantly revealed the presence of the lift pump so we could drive it out of the shop.

3 weeks later, they installed the fuel head, new wiring harness and new clutch packs in the diff, all for a total of $100. No apparent complaints about the lift pump other than a comment about the fuse being in the cupholder because, "You won't need that anymore!"

So, still no warranty issues with a lift pump, so far.
