| Post subject: | Rear Brake Caliper |
I noticed on my right rear brake caliper that the metal slider ( sorry i dont know the correct terminology) at the top of the caliper is sliding out towards the rim. I knocked it back in however it keeps on sliding out and is very close to fouling with the inside of the rim Any advice would be appreciated thanks. |

Caliper slide. You might be able to make a small bend in the inside edge of it to keep it in. But I'm not sure how they are attached originally. |

You need to replace it. They are brittle and the tabs that hold them in place break off easily. You can buy a whole set from Autozone for about $8. Buy the brake disk hardware kit - front or rear |

I just noticed your in SA. Probably don't have an Autozone. You may have to get them in sets from the dealer. I bought the first set from the dealer and they charged about $8.00 a set. The kit from Autozone has 4 sets. |

Thanks guys. I noticed that the one side on the slide was broken so i nipped the end with a pliers to stop it from coming off and bent the tab to give it more tension. Temporary job until I can buy the kit. |
