I would like to replace the front springs with a heavier rate spring, but do not want to change the ride height. Plan on installing Bilstein shocks and struts all around. Any ideas? |

The only way to do that is to have custom coils made. http://www.coilsprings.com/ |

Are you sure? No one else has ever had the need or has done this? Why is it that I always have to custom make everything! For once I would like to just buy something off the shelf! |

The CRD only has one choice for a heavier front coil rate(at least in the US) and that is the OME 790 coils but will give you 2" of lift.If you want stock height you either need to order new OEM coils of get custom ones built. The link in my last post there prices are actually pretty good but the wait time is about 6-8 weeks min.

| Post subject: | King Springs in Australia |
CRD Stu had some custom front springs made by king springs in Australia. I have not heard anything about these springs in couple of years, but IIRCC they were about 300 US/pair plus shipping and they were rated to 450#. Maybe some of our friends down under could chime in on this one. BTW I have a set of stock springs and struts sitting around. |

I checked on CRU Stu's springs when they came out first - they were the same length as OME so it would be a lift, second the shipping was as much as the springs ~$300 FYI - the OME's ride great, better than stock. |
