Anyone know where pins 9 and 12 of our Liberty's OBD2 connector go?
They are not of the standard J1962 protocol.

Pin 9 is only for the TCM (SCI Receive), and pin 12 is actually not connected to the diesel engine controller (only gas). These are used with the Chrysler scan tool for specific advanced diagnostics.

All the diagnostics for the ECU, Trans, and ABS on 2005 go thru OBD pin 7 on the ISO-9141 ("K" line) protocol. All other diagnostics are done thru pin 2 on the SAE-J1850 protocol.

The only difference from this is on a 2006KJ where the ABS module diagnosis is done via CAN on pins 6 and 14, and it is the only module which is. This is the one module that you would need a StarSCAN for diagnosis.

Thank you.
VPW, K-line, CAN and 1 or 2 (gasser) extra; complex.
Since pin 15 has a connection in it, you might as well add in L-line too.
