I'm not about to try this, but I was curious if anyone knew what would happen if the engine was fired up while the trans pan was dropped. Would trans fluid squirt everywhere? would the TC innards blow up? giant fireball that consumes half the block? Just one of those odd questions that popped into my head while lying under the Jeep. |

You have enough fun when you change the fluid and add new. Why in the world would you want to start the engine with no ATF+4 IN THE PAN Run the engine long enough, you will trash out the pump sending little chunks of junk throughout all the oil passageways. I will bet some Washington DC Idiot has read your post and going to use it for the next Cash For Clunkers program |

The fireball enveloping half the block happens when the wife finds out what you did. |

I'm pretty sure I said I wasn't about to try it. I've no doubt something bad would happen. I was just curious as to what. nevermind. |
