Remove the butterfly and don't worry about it. You'll get a p041 cel. Which will go away with a gde tune :P. In the shop when were working on mechanical governors, with mechanical port hilux racks, we always keep a "holy crap" plate handy. On the crd if it ever started ingesting crank oil or a injector got stuck open (not likely at all) without the fcv your in a world of hurt. I don't have a fcv butterfly. And i put a plate over the egr valve, and i have a cel 24/7, and i don't care at all. Most diesels don't have a fcv, and they aren't there to prevent runaway, but they could. |

Well, it quit making the noise after the third or fourth shutdown and if it is stuck it is stuck in open. I always have a CEL thanks to my ORM and there will be a GDE in my future so I guess I won't worry about it. Thanks all. |
