I don't know why this is happening, but my transmission dipstick keeps popping out of it's seated position. From pressure, I guess?? Anybody experience this, and know of a fix?? |

Make sure the trans breather is not plugged or the trans is not overfilled. |

It seems like it might be a vent problem. Where is the transmission breather located and what does it look like please? |

A local member (KJ 119) and I got together a while back and he was having the same problem. Instead of treating the cause, (lack of 3-yr old hands) he treated the symptom - used a zip tie to keep the dipstick in. No more problems. P.S.: Me gusta the new avatar, tjkj. Vurrnice, vurrnice. Now if only we could get you to drop that gasser (patooie!) and get with the program on a real engine. . .. ![]() |

as to Mykol's original question try pulling the dipstick completely out - rotate 180 degrees and put it back in there's a bit of curve and it tends to hold it in. It's mainly vibration. |

You know you want to. . . . ![]() Sorry no HEMI either,if I where to go that way it would be a real HEMI,no 5.7,6.1,6.4,7.2,or even a old school 426,it would be the 572 HEMI(all alloy) and that ain't fitting ![]() I'll go sit in the corner with a mild 306 SBF with stand alone FI and a extremely heavily modded AOD |
