I did hit the deer, front damage was less than expected. At the same time though P1140 showed up on the engine light.
What is this?

Sounds like the impact upset the vacuum operations for the turbo vanes. It is the module just behind the airbox. This thread has a discussion of the small air filter for the solenoid, and has a picture: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=47816
