so the wife tells me that when she left work last night ( about 5* F) the odometer showed 10c001 for about 10 seconds then went away and showed actual mileage about 56k. has anybody else had this or ever heard of it? I am wondering what it is all about. we have been having some problems with the egr system lately but haven't had time to get a delete kit installed. and the only other mod to it is the elephant hose mod. otherwise it is 100% stock. any ideas? thanks in advance. |

The only thing I can think of is if the battery voltage was real low (8-9V) the cluster could have been confused until it was told to 'get it's act together' and reset. But if that happened there probably should have been some random idiot lights also. |

I am wondering if it means lo cool as in low coolant. does this thing have a low coolant sensor? that would explain why it started to do it when it gets really cold when the coolant has shrunk a little. |

That's a square yellow idiot light bottom center between the tach and speedo. Mine went off last week and I had to pull the owners manual out to figure out what it was. Second time in four and a half years. |

well I will have to swap vehicles with the wife for a while to see it for myself to try and figure it out... I will also check the coolant level when I get a chance. I haven't added any fluid to this thing in the last 56??? miles that we have owned it since new. it has been very good in that fact. only regular maint. oil changes with amsoil 5w30 hdd oil every 6250mi, trans fluid and filters every 25k and fuel filters every other oil change. thats it. it has been a great vehicle despite everybody having such bad luck with them. it has been pretty good to us. and the wife doesn't drive it very nice either she is pretty hard on it. |

"lo cool" is what you saw in the odometer? Our has done this on the 2006 KJ CRD. This is definitely due to slightly low coolant in the bottle. Check your level and top off, hopefully it will not come back. |

I will def check it when she gets home later today and reply back on what I found. |

Yes it has a low coolant sensor. My 06 had a misplaced heater hose clamp and the hose poped off and it lost coolant. I got a ding and a Low Coolant right below the odometer. It's been 3 and a half years and I don't remember the exact spelling |

I guess my attention was focused on the idiot light. I didn't notice the odometer. |
