Once I finally get my intercooler hoses and/or EGR issue solved next week, I am going to hook my EHM back up.

My next question is...what to do with the EGR system? I just searched on "EGR" and "ORM" and got zero results back. Maybe it's a forum issue? Anyway, sorry for rehashing this but can somebody explain to me the ways you guys came up with to disable the EGR system?

Just unplug the electrical connector on the output of the air box to the engine. You will get a check engine light. If you don't want the check engine light you can use the VCR method (electrical tape over the light), you can reset it each time with a code reader, or you can install the SEGR (I have a kit I will sell cheap). The final solution, likely the best, is to spend the bucks to have GDE reprogram your ECM.

You talking about the MAF sensor on the air filter box? Unplugging that will disable the EGR? Won't that cause other engine issues though?

No other problems. That's all it's used for.

OK thanks. ORM and EHM will hold me over until I can afford a tune.
